More than a quarter of tunnels are still 'poor' or 'very poor'
in latest safety tests
More than a quarter of European tunnels were rated 'poor'
or 'very poor' in the latest EuroTest
survey of road tunnel safety published by motoring organisations
across Europe on 23 April 2002.
The overall evaluation was based on the following grade boundaries:
